  1. It's been awhile since I've modded for DST, and as I'm a better pixel pusher than coder, I have no idea how to enable Warly to eat any new foods I add to the game. Is there anyone who might be able to help me out?
  2. *cough* Well, I seem to have figured this out. ... it was a misspelling in the text of the inventoryimage .tex file for one item. I'm so embarrassed right now.
  3. It's someplace to start, at least! Thanks for looking
  4. Can do! I very much appreciate you taking the time to help, thank you! CampCuisineDST.zip
  5. Sure thing: Though I guess it's really the client log, not an error log
  6. I've been working on updating Camp Cuisine for DST, and have run into a very frustrating issue. It seems that every time I try to enter or exit the caves, I crash straight to desktop without even an error message. I'm at my wits end here, can anyone help? Here's an error log: Thanks in advance! Coding is NOT my best skill.
  7. I personally found it useful to extract the Inventory Images into a viewable format, so I could use them as reference points. I keep them open in paint while I work on my picture. Personally, I use ArtRage for drawing in, as I find it extremely flexible, and a whole heck of a lot less expensive than certain other art programs It's also really nice to have a good drawing tablet (I use a Bamboo, personally). I usually start by making a layer and using it as my initial sketch layer. I'll hide it later on so it doesn't show in the final image, but it's where I rough out the general idea of the image. Over that, I usually draw the black and white line layer. Then I'll do one more more color layers beneath the black and white line art layer. Beneath the line art layer but over the color layers I usually do two shadow layers, one for deep shadows and one for lighter shadows. I set the transparency of those layers to 80% and 60%, respectively, and use the hard light setting. If I need highlights or any special effects, I do those on a separate layer. Beneath every layer I do the ground shadow, similar to how Midrealm explained above. I think it's important to note that every artist has his or her own style, of course, so you'll probably never be able to duplicate the look *exactly*, but that's ok! Above all, just play around with it and have fun.
  8. I'd say it would depend on how you're creating the art. Are you doing this digitally or physically and then scanning the art?

  10. Selfishly, I will always recommend Camp Cuisine.... more foods. It *is* named Don't Starve, after all... Other than that, I'd have to say that 'best' or 'most useful' mods depend on the user. We can recommend all that we want... but in the end it depends on what YOU find useful. Cheers, Coleen
  11. I've got art for a food item for the potato cup, but I hesitate to add it as we've got the misc. item inbound already. I *could* add it with the next version of Camp Cuisine, but what should I name it? I don't want to come in conflict with the work that's already been done here.
  12. Sure thing. I'm working on some more holiday themed foods - I'll fix it up with my next publish.
  13. I've been sticking to using the name as opposed to the tag in an effort to make my recipes very specific about what they need in an effort to avoid conflicts. Now, since TAP *also* has a spice (I haven't used it, wasn't aware - neat!) I'd be happy to go back and make the recipes call for the tag instead, if you'd like.
  14. I'm personally a fan of keeping the mods separate - what happens if one of us goes on hiatus? That said, I'm totally in for standardizing our custom ingredients tags and values.
  15. The real question, however, is: do I call them fries, or chips?
