A way to auto feed the hatchs

Hello,

I made an automated set up that allow to feed automaticly the hatchs. Here's how it works :

Is there a gameplay reason on why you should do this over simply stocking up a storage compactor in the farm and then emptying it again? Or is this just a cooler, more complicated way to do it.

You can do that in the early cycles but when you will have a huge base with tons of things to do, you will be happy to automated this task.

Is the idea that Ellie falls in to the hatch pit dropping the resources?

If so I'd like to see one going top of map right to the bottom to use gravity for travel instead of fire poles.

timed right the door closes in front of the dupe, locking and blocking travel, dupe drops item and walks away, item falls through.  Also dupes can walk on sideways open doors.
