Dupes can't enter rocket and die

  • Branch: Preview Branch Version: Windows Fixed

Sometimes dupes can't enter rockets, they have all clearance to enter rockets but they just wait infinitly at the entrance of the rocket until they die:

I had the bug on an other rocket and planet a bit before and i solved it by destroying and rebuilding twice a module. SAVE / LOAD doesn't solve it

User Feedback

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

I had this issue as well.  I had my Duplicants Mop up some liquid inside the Rocket.  It appeared to start when they were going to pickup and empty the bottles.  I wasn't able to duplicate the issue.

I included the save file that has the issue already in progress.

I am also having this error. Seems to be related to dupes delivering things into the rocket cabin. They stand there forever and eventually will die. Sometimes restarting fixes it, but they just get re-stuck when performing the task again.

What is happening is that the pathing is not being updated after you add/remove or shuffle a module on the rocket. The pathing is being rebuild upon loading the game, so reloading should fix the problem. Be aware of the issue when modifying the rocket. You can replicate this bug by building high rocket, letting Dupe inside, then destroying some modules below the spacefarer module. Pathing is somehow getting destroyed.

Reloading the game will sometimes fix the problem... temporarily. In my save I have a dup stuck trying to enter a rocket with a bottle of water right after loading the game. The rocket has had no modifications (adding or removing modules) and this problem happens on other rockets on other planets. This started happening after the beta branch patch yesterday.

Alright, so the problem with bottled liquids appears to be a separate issue on top of the already existing one.

I confirm thid a 100%. It happens since last patch and nothing to do with destroying / building modules.

Sometimes reloding fix this but the bug seems to be coming back after some time

seems to have something to do with the door opening at all, not just errands. You can tell them to move past the door and they will get stuck there in front of it. Normally, even when they arent going in and just using it as a walkway to get to the other side, the door will open and then they will walk past.

I have the same problem. Restarting doesn't help.21.03_1.thumb.jpg.3b6ce180403f98b0da40ad2e6c0b8ea3.jpg

The removal of the engine helped, the rocket was rebuilt down and dupes were able to enter.

I have the same problem on all my rockets. One of this rockets is older and always had a Carbon engine + spacefarer module + nosecone, i didn't change it or added any module. I didn't have this problem before. I just noticed recently. Reloading fix it temporarily, but it happens all the time now.

Ok so the same stuff happened to me during my last playthrough.

I messed up my main colony and dupes reached 100% stress. Some of destructive dupes decided to break something in rocket it seems (or maybe one of rocket modules itself), but were just standing on rocket platform, unable to move.

Marking any of modules for destruction was resetting them and the were making couple of steps before, it seems, choosing some new stuff to destroy (inside the same rocket) and getting stuck again.

They kept standing there even when they cooled down and weren't in destructive mood anymore. Issuing destroy order on rocket module will get them moving again in this case, but mine didn't have enough calories left and were dying on their way to kitchen anyways.

Still broken, swapping the modules to their original pos fixes  the problem. I dont know why you add more stuff before repairing the old
