Meteor strike from the side of the map

Something weird happens just now in my game.

During a meteors shower, I saw packs of regolith appearing from nowhere.

Like this one :

There was nothing here. I've seen no meteor, nore explosion. It just ... "popped".

The same thing happens, not far from here.

 

I think it's because this point is not far from the border of the map. So the meteor may com from the other side, but was not displayed here.
