Can't Unravel Duplicates

When attempting to unravel duplicate cosmetic items I get the following message:

Connection failure

Sorry!

Failed to contact Klei servers. Please try again.

I am aware of the malicious item unraveling situation going on, so I just wanted to check whether this is a temporary measure or a problem on my end. Thank you for any information.

Steps to Reproduce

Pressing unravel duplicates button on cosmetic items.

User Feedback

Same. Unravel a single item also shows this and restarts the game.

[BarterLoseItem_Complete Failure:200] {"Error":"true","ErrorCode":"E_BALANCE_MISMATCH"}

If you have Skin Queue still enabled and attempt to unravel by the usual button you'd use it will fail to unravel skins and send you back to the login screen since the mod overrides that dialogue as well.

If it's disabled then that has to be resolved.

Thanks, I don't use Skin Queue.

Yeah I have Skin Queue disabled and still cannot unravel skins without getting the error.

I solved this by totally disabling every mod, and then enable other mods except skin queue. Simply disabling skin queue may still trigger Klei's anti-virus mechanism.

Edit: During filtering suspicious mods I noticed that Too Many Items also causes this issue. So I now believe that it is not skin queue but tmi that is to blame.

Edit2: Still another one, Lazy Controls

I don't use Lazy Controls, but disabling Too Many Items solved this for me! Thank you!

Thanks for the report. We'll look into what "Too Many Items" mod is doing that is breaking the skins.

Why is it Too Many Items that matters?

It seems no logic relationship with skins

tmi spawns items that have skin options and it recalls what the user's last-used skin for an item is. it needs to know and call the correct skin

Skin Queue and Too Many Item Revisited are disabled, unraveling works after Lazy Control is disabled.
