  2. not necessarily, fighting FW that way would've been fun even if it would've been inefficient not everyone do that and people that do probably think that killing him requires lazy explorer, nightmare amulet and weather pains/brightshade staff without even trying to figure out or find other ways to kill him that'd be more fun for them a lot of people don't do minimal gear FW but still like fighting him so most people might not even want him to become simpler a giant bipedal cyclops deer smiling looks dumb, what now? it's just a 3-4 cycle instead of 1 cycle as wolfgang, is everything that got used in the video too much if it's tripled? are you going to say that i'm not worth listening to because i don't? skins look out of place and odd, so i don't, i only use a few for items that are exceptionally ugly with default skin but the skins that i use for them aren't even a part of the same pack, so i don't get a chance to buy something that i'd like, if the argument is that people that are good at the game and rush stuff never buy skins then look at anyone doing ruins on a pub or at any speedrun, they all have skins for football helm, ham bat, lantern, science, alchemy, marble armor, their character etc.
  3. Fun for you is maximum efficiency but that isnt fun for alot of people. Ancient fuelweaver is just not fun hence why people cheese it if they can. My suggestion about his nerf is a fair compromise, you get slightly negatively effected but the rest of us benefit alot. Fair trade for klei. Makes sense but looks dumb. Ancient fuelweaver should be balanced for wilson. And right now hes too much of a resource sink when solo and on consoles. May i ask do you buy skins grm9?
  4. i'm going to say something controversial, Wurt is probably (alongside maxwell) the best character in the game. With her i always manage to "craft" the merm king and guards' houses and rush lunar in the first autumn. After that she becomes just unstoppable. She has a lot of small perks here and there which make her even better. #nerfwurt

My first time playing RotWood was now in Early Access, and I want to say that I absolutely LOVED it, it's obviously another masterpiece made by Klei I want to leave an idea here of a trophy room, trophies with references to bosses to decorate the rooms And an extra idea is that in this room there is a mannequin for the armor set cover, it would be incredible to see them all together in one place
  6. i didn't, i play the game to have fun, not to look at something that looks good, perhaps watch a movie instead of playing a game if you want that no? it makes sense to lure him there away from stuff that's crawling to him from the middle i don't, there are many more ways to kill him, abigail, bramble husk, soul hop, lazy explorer, nightmare amulet, brightshade staff, weather pains, bramble traps, backstep clock, wigfrid's spear, lunar fire etc.

  8. DST is a game of aesthetics. Its why we all bought the game because the artstyle is amazing. The way you fight AFW clinging to the side of the arena is aesthetically dumb and its a terrible arguement to expect everyone else to fight ancient fuelweaver like this instead of Klei just nerfing him.
  9. ??? i do, i've also said that you can just start going away after he casts spikes falling nearby the ancient gateway twice and miss out on a few hits worth of damage at worst, counting to 33 isn't hard should've sent that as a separate message, didn't see because of the edit, i've already told you how the fight could be made easier without making it much easier and less interesting for everyone and you can already kill him skilllessly you're complaining about p2 which hp bar wasn't even remotely relevant for, it's just maximizing amount of damage that you deal before he summons unseen hands so it doesn't end up being a 2 cycle if he eats a woven shadow should also probably move that to somewhere else since it's not even remotely related to the 1st message in the thread now
  10. Tbh your strat of walking AFW to the edge if the arena looks dumb and you are cheating using hp bar and do you really expect people to count hits? Like you are pulling at straws trying to defend ancient fuelweaver in its current state.
  11. the point was that he's already lunar and tbh making more gem combinations viable is all that's needed, you never want to use more than 3 reds or any greens or yellows planar geysers now pierce your boat along with you
  12. these people probably don't know that there are more fun and easier ways to kill him, similarly to how people still think that your ham bat rotting while fighting toadstool is unavoidable even though you can just drop it, you could've also swapped to wormwood instead of wolfgang and used bramble husks for woven shadows if you don't want to learn anything nor get brightshade staff
  13. I hope so. There's a hidden save slot feature that devs have access to (and you can name each slot's town too), but it isn't ingame yet so that might go live at some point in EA.
  14. Hope Klei is reading this because at the end of the day. This small change to AFW will help out far more people than it will hurt.
  15. Yeah I'd like to see the run timer come back. Personally, I don't think seeing your completed masteries is even needed in the results screen since you will always pass Toot who has a ! marker if you completed any mastery—and if that's something that might change later on, they could always make it more visible to see any NPC with unread dialogues by showing small headshot bubbles similar to how DST shows nearby players.

  19. Your fun wont be effected at all. You can perform your strat the exact same way even if klei nerfed AFW to one wave of woven per round of shadow hands. Your gameplay will not change at all so what is your problem?
  20. if you can't do that it's fine, but then specify that we're talking not about what'd be most efficient, but something that an average player could do you could get some from blue mushtree forest for until you get jellybeans or use a beefalo, since wurt doesn't have a damage multiplier anyway
  21. Idk this just seems really elitist at this point. Do it this specific way my way, very fast this route. Blue mushrooms are also good but sleeping is turning the basic food you have into hp and sainity. 1 meatball would heal 127hp and around 70 sainity, which is faster that scavenging for blue mushrooms which only respawn in rain.
  22. i'm talking about this strat, no weather pains/lazy explorer 2024-04-26 09-29-45.mp4 a hp bar mod isn't required, you can count hits since you're the only thing dealing damage and you can usually get it right without even counting if you go away after the 2nd cast of spikes falling nearby the ancient gateway, anim cancelling during p1 was just for fun also, you don't need to meet any dps threshold so it's irrelevant, intentionally did p2 without anim cancelling, as you can see i've only used mouse for inventory and only had 4 items, 3 of which i've only used twicer during the fight am i elitist because i don't want my fun to get taken away? that'd still affect minimal gear strats since you could just have him eat 1, kill the rest, then kill the unseen hands whenever and that'd probably be faster, that'd also affect how much you'd get punished for messing up, which is what makes the strat risky, hard and fun, someone in another thread suggested to set woven shadows and unseen hands cd to at least 6 seconds if they're below that after cd of 1 of them gets set to 20 seconds which would still make the fight less punishing, but at least not as much if people really don't like practicing hard*
  23. I think you skimmed over the post. They play on nintendo switch not steam, and have contacted nintendo, klei and everything, basically done everything they could do.
  24. Yeah they use so many resources and its clunky as f. The prep required on console is far greater than that of pc. The difference ive noticed from pc to switch version. Pc version has a much higher skill ceiling and better execution. I can lazy teleport rapidly between shadow hands while weather paining accurately and quickly inbetween to stop woven shadows. Cant do this on switch version, you are limited by the slow scroll speed through your inventory and while you can auto pause to select stuff in inventory you are also pausing the fun. Ofc the accuracy of telepoofing (wortox teleport) and the targetting of weather pain is horrible. Multitasking on console is much much harder due to the controls. A solution to this which also would help newer or more casual players (tbh 90% of DST players struggle fighting ancient fuelweaver solo without exploits on pc) is to nerf ancient fuelweaver by limiting woven shadows to one wave per round of shadow hands. Klei this change shouldnt effect elitist players like grm9 who will kill the last woven shadow at the same time as the last shadow hand so for pros the strat wont change but will help noobs like me on the switch version who find it harder to multitask. That way i can focus on killing all the woven shadows then back off to heal or whatever without the countdown starting for them. Then i can go kill the shadow hands on my terms. This simple change will allow for the clunkiness of console controls and make the fight less tedious.
