VitorF
I've been playing the beta for a while, and managed to get to day 100+. Some resources/mobs aren't renewable, and it turned out to be a problem in later days. I'm not sure if they're renewable somehow, but I couldn't find a stable source of those: - Rocks (Only renewable if you leave the wormant queen alive, and you need a LOT to build a large enough town, for buildings and city turfs) - Honey (the chests inside the bug's cave don't refill their honey, dangling hives don't respawn) - Pikos (Once their nest tree is chopped, they don't respawn, not even on new planted trees) - Spider Gland (Spider Gorillas don't respawn, maybe it's a bug on later days, I don't know) - Glowflies (they don't spawn in day 100+ in any season can't catch them with the bugnet either) - Lightbulbs (I know there are lightbulb plants in the roc cave, but I could't access the cave without console commands) - Gems (red and blue are renewable in vanilla DS from hounds, Hamlet doesn't have a renewable source of these, I couldn't even find them in the shops) There might be more non-renewable stuff. The fact that there is much non-renewable stuff doesn't make the game hard, it just makes it boring in the long run. These resources are the ones I could remember right now. They should spawn from any exotic flower. 15 minutes ago, VitorF said: There might be more non-renewable stuff. It's a non-feature complete beta. I'm sure less things will be non-renewable, and not to mention potential for world-hopping. The Aporkalypse could even play a hand in non-world-hopping material reset, who knows. I didn't know about that, thx for the info 18 minutes ago, Zeklo said: Sounds like a bug. They should spawn from any exotic flower. The glowflies spawned normally in the first days of my world, but after the first year-cycle was completed, they stopped spawning from exotic flowers. This happened to me in both my day 40+ worlds. When you first open the chest, there are 9 honey, one for each square. Do I need to put one nectar at each square? Or can I stack them? Like, 20 nectars in the chest, to get 20 honey Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/97405-too-many-non-renewable-resourcesmobs/#findComment-1102631 Share on other sites
