crypticorb Posted October 24, 2018 Share Posted October 24, 2018 I have a problem with my current base that I've never had before: starving dupes. I have loads of food available, enough that I'm keeping all the highest tier stuff in reserve, but for some reason my entire crew of 16 are refusing to eat anything but the best. I have omlettes, frost buns, berry sludge, and mushroom all readily available, but they flat refuse to touch it. I've checked everything I can think of, including the consumables permissions page, door permissions, automation errors, save/load tricks, even deconstructed all doors between them and food. They will NOT eat, unless I allow them to eat pepper bread or BBQ, nothing else. I wanted to post here before making a bug report in case I'm just being stupid. Here's the save, see if anyone else can make sense of it. Gurgel Posted October 24, 2018 Share Posted October 24, 2018 Hold on... I loaded your save and Ashkan had some berry sludge and the other starving dupe did eat something too. Maybe something is wrong with your game-install? Or maybe you have lag to the point that some things stop working? I loaded the save up this morning and all the starving dupes went and ate something like nothing ever happened. I really don't know if this is a bug, or just something stupid I've done. 0xFADE Posted October 24, 2018 Share Posted October 24, 2018 I saw everyone eating too. You may want to try giving them more downtime? I give my dupes 4 hours of downtime. It raises their morale just by having more downtime and they will do work during downtime after they have socialized for awhile. It would also give your dupes more time to eat and whatnot. I saw Nisbet just barely get to sleep before nighttime ended.
