The word you’re looking for is “sarcasm.” Hypocrisy is when somebody says “Everybody should do X” while they don’t do X themselves. Politicians are often accused of this. I guess it's a kind of faux-ami in this situation. Anyway, thanks for the explanation, and sorry for the off-topic.
