Salt Water

I would suggest putting salt water in the meteor. Using desalination and evaporation system to get drinking water and salt to use in food. 
In addition to creating system where stones have seen sand with the passage of time.

And how do you propose to be water in there, when regolith comes down at ~3 times the vaporization-temperature of water?

I agree with having salt in game. It would be a nice way to reliably produce chlorine but liquid water is a pretty hard thing to come by in space. True, salt water ice can exist but the surface temperature is already crazy hot. Might as well have salt instead which would dissolve in water.

Minable salt as a source of chlorine also usable in food recipies. Sounds pretty good.

Sounds like another minor liquid without a lot of gameplay impact, but with more anti-realistic effects like fresh water and salt water coexisting without mixing, having to purify salt water to flush toilets with it, salt not dissolving in water etc.
