using auto-sweeper

Hi guys,

 

I'm trying to load my coal generator using auto-sweeper. So I build the attached thing

 

I had coal on the floor but the sweeper put it into the storage instead of coal generator.

What did I do wrong ?

 

The conveyor itself is not finished but I expected the sweeper to work alone

Seems that I was wrong ... changed nothing and seen the sweeper load the left generator which is in range

Set the refill slider to 100% on the coal generators otherwise the sweeper will not refill them until the battery is below the default 50%.

While you're there, set the priority to 1 so dupes will never try to refill the coal generators. The sweeper doesn't care about the priority.

Ok, just did I you said but it doens't refill the generator even when we already are bellow 50 %

Just wait. They only refill them in chunks which is a very good thing, otherwise it'd constantly be refilling tiny amounts. The important thing is that they don't run out of coal.

yes it seems to work but it is quite unpredictable when

The other thing you can do is block Dupe access to the area to prevent the refill command from ever going to anything except the Sweeper.
