Does Space Scanner Overheat?

It doesn't, even if it gets in contact with regolith.

There is no overheat mentioned on it as well, and its better this way.

 

My scanner is at 300C+ and also has door underneath it, before it opens it is usually covered in regolith after a meteor shower and doesn't overheat.
