It is a great limiting factor in the game, and an inherent weakness of the game and the engine to limit function in such an arbitrary fashion. The schematics being set as they are limit greatly the interoperability of structures. And is an entirely valid point. And, I love the concept of being allowed to 'redistribute' the components in such a fashion.
