Rotate object should have mouse action

Recommended Posts

Currently, as far as I am aware, objects can only be rotated using the 'O' key. I would like the option to use the mouse only, such as a middle click rotating an object.

I play the game through my television, and I can just use a mouse for most functions, except rotation, and accessing the menu.

Then bind your o key to your middle mouse button. (Provided your mouse drivers support such a feature, if not buy a mouse whose drivers do.)

Thanks for the suggestion. I just use some bog standard optical mouse.

That is still just a workaround, and not an ideal solution.

I agree it's a workaround... but you will like the workaround. Not just for this game, but a lot of other games will benefit from your ability to hotkey simple makros to a mousekey. (Not to mention that kind of mouse tends to have more buttons than your average fiver.)

I want the ability to set hotkeys for a lot of other things too (such as, select material:abyssalite. unset by default so it's an opt in customization. It will probably remain a dream. Currently I do way too much clicking.)

You can bind this function to your middle mouse button in game. ;)

At least in the current version. I do so and bind it to shift + scroll down.

It's in the second page of the controls config. ;)

That does work for scrolling up and down, but not for the click itself. Nor does it work for any other 4 mouse buttons. OP's wish was the click.
