need a temperature control valves and pumps

Recommended Posts

regulators are something needed. for example millwood needs a certain body temp and a pressure. well temp for some reason even in the start game seems you cant regulate it like we can even in todays world. if there were regulators in the game where you could say set 70 c you could set a temp in the greenhouse only but it gets damaged or something to that nature. usually the temps go skyrocketing high even from the get go and then you run out of food and there isnt a way to cool down in time. but if you had regulators and other cooling mechanisms and you could rush research you might make it in enough time.

TL:DR; You are basically asking for a single machine you can already make with shutoffs, pipe thermo sensors and some logic wires/gates.

@crtkdt you can run your pipes trough a Thermo Regulator or Thermo Aquatuner repeatedly to cool the air/liquid down. When you then use a liquid/gas pipe thermo sensor in conjunction with 2 liquid/gass shutoffs and some automation wires you can pretty much control the temperature of any gass/liquid in the game.

If you need to heat up your gasses/liquids. Wow! How'd you manage that!?

Seriously though, if you need to heat up your gasses you can do that by placing a space heater in the room before pumping. For liquids you can use a liquid tepidizer before pumping it out of your tank.

Heating is simple. Just build a heating building and a thermo sensor to turn it off when the temperature is reached.

Cooling is more complicated. You can use wheezeworts but that doesn`t set a temperature just cools. For a set temp you need a setup that moves the temperature from the room. You can pump air from it, cool it down and pump back (using thermo sensors to shut off the system when it`s cold enough) but it`s more effective to have some gas in a loop getting cooled by thermo regulators and absorbing heat from the room through radiant pipes.

That`s all midgame cooling. Earlygame you shouldn`t have much problems with heat at least until you start digging aoutside the starting biome.

We already have all the tools needed to build climate controlled rooms.  If your mealwood is getting too hot then that's probably a result of your base design.  Keep your food away from heat-generating buildings and limit the number of heat sources until you've researched and built a meats of disposing of heat waste.

well this one map i kid you not had space on 3 sides top left was a magma spout and i could only go up but they kept on passing out and dying. thats where the incapacitated crap kept happening and there was no button to say hey go get your teammate i had 7 med beds because they were all full because i had to go past it and my main base was all hot

these would be ambient air pumps like a regulator you set at say 70 c and you can suck the high or low air out but put 70 c air in. now youd need at least 2 pumps and all the stuff and it would break so youd have to pay attention to it. we have regulators for pressure
