ronm440
Seems to me that ALL electrical devices should have a built-in On-Off power switch (Turn On - Turn Off capability). Also, Wires should only create heat IF/when they are passing current. Sasza22
Most buildings have a disable option (i think all the electrical ones do) it works like a power switch. Also i`m pretty sure wires don`t produce heat, only electric buildings like batteries and transformers. Just add that switch to every electrical device and now you have the On - Off capability you need. The current switch is capable of turning off an entire section of the electrical system, not just one device. I like it the way it is. IRL industrial devices don't have built in switches, that's why you have switch cabinets. Deshiba
You can either disable the single building which will turn it off. Or you can use switches to prevent power running to a set of machines to turn them off. Either way, it seems to me like this feature allready exists. martosss
And for people that are lazy there's also automation - you can use power shutoffs to automatically turn off sections of a circuit, or if you're smart and lazy - switch circuits on the fly to prevent overloading or even optimize battery charging.
