deCalle
It's so damn annnoying to finally see someone arrive to do something but then suddenly remembers, that he has to pee or eat. what the sh*t is wrong with you guys? Guess I don't have to tell you how a float comparison works. let's just say they go to eat or pee at 25%, but when it's convenient. (complicated addition: and the bathroom/ food is kinda on the way to the next task) and really cancel the current job when they really have to and hunger/bladder is at 0%.. shouldn't be too hard... Addition. When people are going to operate a machine. please make sure they take the needed stuff along. gets freaking annoying when you have 2-3 people doing what 1 should be able to do... SkySentinel
I would say, that such type of intuitive responsible behavior should be for every of natural needs including sleep. Emergence of need -> completion of current task -> realization of need. Or at least it should be achievable via job professionality level up. Otherwise it looks extremely stupid and egoistic, that makes me want to kill all my duplicants in the most horrible and painful way... Ahem, just kidding. Electroshock collars would be enough for a punishment. Juicearific
I'd prefer it be on a 'do it when you're done with current task, or if you're not done with current task in time X (20 seconds?)'. Just thinking realistically here - but if I get a job to do and it's almost lunchtime, I'll work on the job for a little bit. But if it still ain't done, I'm putting the job down and getting lunch. avilmask
Yeah, I can relate considering the subject. - bladder should signal sooner than at 100%, so duplicant don't need to react immediately; - duplicant should finish his job before reacting to basic needs, he not gonna pee himself or starve in that instant (and why even interrupt a task to take a shower?); - dupes should learn to get into queue in front of toilet (as well as in front of a sink), at least instead of taking "gonna-be-interrupted-anyway" tasks :/ Advanced stuff: - scheduling. A way to force dupes to get their nutrients for a whole day and do their pooping before going long distance. And mb even taking rations with them. "Did you pee? You better pee now, because you'll not be able to pee any time soon"; - task time calculation. It's actually pretty basic calculation. Simply pre-calculate, how much time his job will take (including walking) and when dupe'll have to do his things, and act accordingly. ImpalerWrG
I would prefer that meal time be synchronized, we have these mess halls with assigned seating, but it makes no sense cause they are never all being used at the same time. Would be nice to watch all your dupes go have a meal together and maybe chat with each other as their mouths are full, with little crumbs flying out as they murmur. Yunru
So... two thresholds? Go if taskless %, and a Go now %? Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/92605-make-pee-and-meal-break-either-before-or-after-task/#findComment-1055977 Share on other sites
