ColBBQ Posted June 20, 2018 Share Posted June 20, 2018 Thé green slime biome requires deodorizers to remove the polluted oxygen and kill the slimeling germs. Take it slowly and build medbays for when your dupes get infecred. The igneous biome with chlorine/hydrogen gas is easy to break through with a algea deoxygizer and a gas pump pushing the oxygen through the tunnel. Yoma_Nosme Posted June 20, 2018 Share Posted June 20, 2018 When you go to slime biome I have some more tips for you. Build a door between your base and the biome. So no po2 comes in. Right next to the door inside the slime biome build 1or2 wash basins so your dupes wash their hand before coming in (it's enough if they wash their hands before coming in. No need for washing when going out). This will help to prevent soiling your clean base with germs. Right next to the wash basins build a 2 tile deep hole. Fill it with water and build a storage only for slime! Set it to 6or 7! Your dupes should never carry the slime through your base this way and it can't gas off because of the water. Air deodoriser and algae deoxidizer where already mentioned. storm6436 Posted June 20, 2018 Share Posted June 20, 2018 If I have the time and the extra worts, I dig into a chunk of the slime biome that doesn't have slimelung, set up a handful of worts, and then seal it off with insulated abyssalite. Worts will drop the temp and the moment it gets under 66F, slimelung will start dying off. Works best if you can chill a pool of PH20 at the top as heat transfer from solid to/from liquid is faster than to/from gas... Then you just chip away at the newly "clean" slime around the pool, allowing the polluted water to do your work for you. Just gotta keep moving the worts to optimum positions.
