Challenge Maps?

I was thinking it would be a cool idea to have a game mode where the goal is to complete some sort of challenge given specific constraints or different game mechanics. Some ideas:

Pandemonium - The Printing Pod prints a dupe every 3 cycles... whether you want them or not! The goal is to survive as long as possible... with at most 3 deaths!

Ma, I Ate Too Much Beans! - Every dupe you print comes with the Flatulent trait. At least you won't have to worry about who cut the cheese!

Black Lung - Dupes inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen! Oxylite is now Carbolite, but you know that won't be enough. Can you build a coal generator before it's too late?

Too Much of a Good Thing - Every vent and geyser now emits 10 times as much stuff, and they don't have pressure limits! Can you contain it all?

 

There is also potential for more involved "scenarios":

They Dug Too Deep... - The first colony of dupes sent to Asteroid 17249BA-9 has gone missing. You are in charge of the rescue team. Instead of digging your way around (every dupe has the Trypophobia trait), you start on a small base on the surface and have to explore previously dug tunnel networks... and collect resources along the way. Can you find out what happened to the Alpha team?

End of Days - The nearby star is about to go supernova, and this is having disasterous affects on the asteroid. Magma is slowly rising from the core. Can you reach the surface and build a spaceship in time?

I read your post and decided that 90% of it could be performed with the current system and that you should check out the community challenge section for ideas on how to implement your challenges or even as an area to reach out to other challenge map makers.  Since you are suggesting a change to the game I've altered my comment to include the appropriate board for Suggestions.

I am actually doing the first one on my current colony. You can just reload a save when the printing pood is ready. This puts new dupes up for selection. I will always take the first flatulent dupe that isnt a mouth breather. I will just need a lot of air flow tiles and good air filtration for it to work

The second one was a thing over a year ago when they introduced water geysers. It took them a few weeks to fix it, but it was fun times. I had a map with 4 geysers in 10x10 area.
