Two copies?

I may be just an idiot, but the steam page said get two copies, one for your friend. I do not seem to have received a second copy. Where did i go wrong?

Yup, exactly what ScoutBonk444 said. When you buy into the Hot Lava Open Beta for yourself, one copy of the game will automatically be activated on your Steam account (as it would normally). You will also find a giftable copy of Hot Lava in your Steam Inventory that you can send to a friend.

So it had something to do with me never opening my inventory and therefore not noticing when something is added, thanks guys, appreciate the help!

Does anybody know how this works if you already own Hot Lava? I want to buy the 2 copy deal and give it to two of my friends, but when I go to select who to give the copies to (when finalizing checkout), it only lets me select one friend. Will the other copy go to my inventory?

The way Steam handles this is that the person who redeems the bought copy receives the second, not the gift sender.

So you'll have to play a phone game wherein the first sent copy person has to send the copy that they get to your other desired friend.
