Is lureplant-bird farm not feasible?

I tried this, but for some reason my result was a few feathers, a few morsels and 15 leafy meat. Anyone care to explain? Or is this still only viable in single player?

I hope it's still viable in some format, because farming feathers and reeds like this plus hounds teeth from warg... you know what that means

EDIT: Tested, only works in single player. That's a bummer. Feathers then become a problem in DST for getting a bunch of darts.
