Accidental Waterfall

Recommended Posts

Looks more like a sick wave pool to me, dupes better get to researching surf boards for leisure as well as swimming. netSd69.gif

Originally before they changed the terariums, I remember making one under water and it kept doing air bubble type stuff like a fish tank pump. netSd69.gif Now I wager they must be emptied in that scenario. I think it sort of consumed water perpetually back then.

Edit: Yeah, no, this has been a thing for a long time, totally normal for the terrarium. If you load your save file and mouse over it you can see it's actively consuming the water as far as I can tell, same behavior from decades ago, I don't think anything is wrong with it. It's  quirky thing.

YES!! This is exactly what I was describing, now that pacu fish are a thing it's truly a work of art. Not to mention, algae and fish tanks, duh. I bet this would be great with a glass tank. Maybe set up a waterfall and plop a skeleton or two down there. Plop a food storage chest down there and we've got ourselves an amazing fish tank cliche.

When I first bought the game a mined out section sprung a leak and then flooded my lower base, I noticed the algae terrarium was consuming the water and making bubbles fully submerged. I thought probably the bubbles were actually vacuums from missing water as there was no CO2 to consume unlike your example here. That was a bazillion builds ago of course.

I wonder what effect it has on pacu navigation. Do you think pacus can navigate perpetual waterfalls? netSd69.gif

Can light shine through water in ONI? Can glass tiles hold water for a fish tank? So many questions. netSd69.gifnetSd69.gifnetSd69.gifnetSd69.gif

Hmm, I must've not looked close enough, I don't think it's the case for fully submerged, either way the read out said it was still consuming water. It's all a wash. I vote for never changing my fish pump algae terraium, it's a staple feature to any pacu tank worth its salt. netSd69.gif

I wonder if liquid still makes glass look weird on the edges, probably.
