Opening this wall will bring complete terror upon my base

Looks like its a problem with the pressure, as the little bit of O2 keeps it from stopping it's CO2 production, on the other hand, that's a nice bit of food for your slicksters. This 'trick' has been used in various other ways by people to pump insane amounts of gas into a tiny area.

The CO2 turns into gas almost instantly, the area used to be around 110 F but has cooled down to a 80-90 range

 

It also doesn't erupt frequently enough to cool down very fast, it only goes off when the oxygen is over it

liquid co2 turn into co2 immediately, because caustic biome temp is over  40 ° C - 104 ° F (I do not remember exactly the temperature).

36.7 g / s * 555s = 20.36 kg liquid CO2 turned into gas for each eruption. that's a lot of compressed CO2. The maximum pressure for this geyser is 50 kg
