lunazone
I believe it's building so weirdly high because a tiny bit of oxygen keeps floating above it, making it think it's an acceptable pressure level Is this intended, or a bug? suicide commando
Looks like its a problem with the pressure, as the little bit of O2 keeps it from stopping it's CO2 production, on the other hand, that's a nice bit of food for your slicksters. This 'trick' has been used in various other ways by people to pump insane amounts of gas into a tiny area. neoazureus
That is a liquid CO2 geyser? If you have a small amount of liquid CO2 (wiki : Max mass for liquid under compression = 2000 kg), this can convert into a large amount of co2 gas if it is not thermally insulated Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/90158-opening-this-wall-will-bring-complete-terror-upon-my-base/#findComment-1029403 Share on other sites
KittenIsAGeek
His tooltip says 89f. That's _far_ too hot for liquid CO2. lunazone
The CO2 turns into gas almost instantly, the area used to be around 110 F but has cooled down to a 80-90 range It also doesn't erupt frequently enough to cool down very fast, it only goes off when the oxygen is over it Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/90158-opening-this-wall-will-bring-complete-terror-upon-my-base/#findComment-1029426 Share on other sites
neoazureus
liquid co2 turn into co2 immediately, because caustic biome temp is over 40 ° C - 104 ° F (I do not remember exactly the temperature). 36.7 g / s * 555s = 20.36 kg liquid CO2 turned into gas for each eruption. that's a lot of compressed CO2. The maximum pressure for this geyser is 50 kg Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/90158-opening-this-wall-will-bring-complete-terror-upon-my-base/#findComment-1029428 Share on other sites
