Need more decorations type items

Just a few ideas for new decorations 

Metal sculptures 

A new potted plants ( maybe a Bush that a artist can trim into the shape of different critters)

Adding marble with a higher decor bonus than granite.

Making different sculptures have different colors based on the materials used to build it

Lava lamps that are made from magma( or maybe made from slicksters muhahaha)

Chandalers and other decorative lighting. 

I'm new to this forum so I'm not sure if these have been suggested already

I would like more decoration. More different pictures and varieting sculptures! A bunch of identical things in one place looks creepy.

Someone suggested something to this before. I think they also suggested using diamonds for sculptures and paintings for a huge decor bonus.
The marble would be nice. It would be cool if it look a bit different from the normal tile too.

Besides the ideas for new decoration items, the whole decor(ation) system could need a big upgrade. It is just to easy and some kind of boring to spam sculptures and paintings. Here my ideas:

Artist Studio

• Artist needs an artist studio to paint or make sculptures
• Should require an easel, a pedestal and a creative desk
• On creative desk the artist could practise/sketch his ideas (you choose the painting/sculptures you want to make, similar like in research tree)

Paintings

• Paintings should be made of another material, maybe reed fiber. So you couldn't spam paintings early game. The frames for the paintings could be made/placed as usual. You could then choose a avaible painting to get put there. Advantage: you have the control where a painting shall be and you could change the place of the painting fast.
• Paintings should need colors, so dupes first have to find things colors could be made of (plants, rocks or critters - maybe the different shine bugs could produce colors too). A machine could produce the colors from the materials. Otherwise they can make black-white paintings with coal, but they don't give much decor (except for dupes who like them, see next point).

Dupes decor likes/dislikes

• Dupes should get decor likes and dislikes. So one dupe could dislike sculptures, but love plants. Another one could like light, while another one does't likes light (or likes a certain light color). Or they like different kinds/styles of paintings/sculptures (modern, classic, colorful etc.) or they have a favorite color or colors they don't like.
• Depending on likes and dislikes, the decor should be positive or negative (but more positive than negative) or neutral (the standard decor value). So you have to decide, where to put the decoration (in the bedrooms or on the main workplaces of each dupe).

Decoration objects

• There should be an option to change colors for decoration objects, like the bedding of the cots/beds, lights (lava lamps ;)) or flower pots. Maybe there could be some patterns of different colors for places, the dupes share (bedroom, workplace).

The same objects in the same place should also give negative decor values.

I like the idea that the artist would create art in his studio and dupes would have to deliver it, making decor moveable. Would save on resources from having to destroy decor because your blueprint changed.

Of course it would be entirely plausible for a dupe to drop a priceless sculpture down a mile long ladder because he has to go to the bathroom.

With the art studio it could be its on room bonus that increases speed and decor bonus of the sculptures etc.
I also think there should be more tiers of Quality in decor items.
Mediocre all the way up to Masterpiece

I also think the material used should help determine the final decor boost as well. A granite statue would be more magnificent that a sandstone one, so rarer/later game materials used give higher buff and produce higher level work.

Yep, would like to see more uses for diamonds other than temp shift. 
This along with multiple tier decor quality would be excellent. However, they would need to buff negative decor in a way to balance.
