MythN7
So this is very annoying, as many times they will drop something on the ladders making them have to make in times a long trip to pick it up again, or having to make sure you put a floor under your ladders that are floating over in accessible areas. Also when they decide to drop stuff like slime or turd dirt or bleach stone right in a spot that is annoying to try and pull those vapors out of if it ends up on the floor for several chunks of a game cycle. So my idea on how to fix this is as such. Make the need to go to bathroom work as this: At start of every morning they go do there business no matter what there state is at and only bypass this task if at say less than 10% when they wake up. Any dup that goes idle should have a go to bathroom task given no matter how bad they have to go, what better time to do yer business. Make it so that at 80% full bladder they stop taking job tasks and go to the bathroom, if one is in use, they wait in there till they can do there thing. This way, if they are currently on a task and the bladder hits 80%, have it so they are forced to finish what they are doing, then the go to pee task is triggered before they make a mess. Make the eating work as such: Start of every morn eat a meal no matter what if cal is less than 3000, this will help prevent them from dropping an item as soon as they feel a bit peckish. Force them to finish the task they are doing before eating unless cals drop below 500 while performing the action, this will make it so they dont stop what there doing mid task to eat when they want a snack. Kinda like how we have break and lunch periods in our real life. If cal is less than 500 have them eat where they get the food, not pack it up and move to the mess hall, ive had dups die cause the food was lacking, and they went to pick up a wild mushroom or meal lice from far away and try to run back to the assigned table with only a few cals left. Make suffocating work as: if they are carrying an item while holding breath, and they go into the panic suffocating state, have them not drop what they are holding and run to get air, then finish the delivery after. End of day: If holding an item and bed time rolls around, either force them to finish the delivery, and let them sleep in, or keep the item on them and store it under the bed beside there hat, and make them continue the task in the morning. When having to just drop a held item. Make it so they cannot drop an item unless on a proper floor. So not on a ladder, fire pole or transit tube, or door. Also not while in a body of fluid that causes them to be holding there breath. so the 1st floor after getting out of the volume of fluid. Giving a move order should not make them drop what they are holding, sometimes you want them to take the item they picked up somewhere, or force them to back up threw the ore scrubber again. TheExceed
This is something I suggested to be fixed with my backpack idea. EDIT: Also, quite a few other members had made suggestions for timetables for bathroom, eating, etc. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/89963-dropping-held-item-when-trivial-need-triggers-idea/#findComment-1027496 Share on other sites
