Ju
I've been playing this game for a while now and decided to post some suggestions of things I think are missing in this game. -Liquid/gas storage: while yes, you can make a room and just put liquid/gas in there to store it, it feels like just an improvised way to store them, could we have something like, a high presure tank to store liquid/gas? Like, something that would ocupy the pipes layer and just store it. Also bigger pipes would be nice, like pipes that actually ocupy the world, like a tile, but that can carry way more liquid/gas. -More diseases: or some other real use for kindness, my dupes almost never get hurt or, when I'm carefull, sick, I would really like to get an outbreak mark 2, with some more diseases and/or ways for dupes to get hurt and possibly a new job, like nurse or doctor. Idk, kindness just feels underused. -Aggressive critters: Kinda like the same reason above, would be a nice use for kindness and combat(which is just really used to get rid of excessive critters). I'm not suggesting to make all of them aggressive, just like, a new critter that is aggressive, and could have some other uses as well, maybe a venomous or poisonous critter which poison/venom could count as a disease. Anyways, just some suggestions, plz leave your thoughts down below. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/89894-some-ideias/ Share on other sites
crypticorb
These are all good ideas, except for liquid storage. Realistically, liquids do not compress. This is the fundamental physics behind hydraulics and water locks. Currently, there's a bug in the way mechanized doors work that allow the compression of liquids and gasses using cycling mechanized airlocks and automation, with limitless compression of any gas or liquid. It works, but breaks the laws of physics. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/89894-some-ideias/#findComment-1027041 Share on other sites
TheExceed
I would like to see a high pressurized gas storage tank. But I agree with cryptic on the liquid. As for diseases, I suggested decreasing slimelungs half life in other gases and suggested a new toxic biome. That would bring a toxic gas and possible diseases caused by prolong contact. I do hope that suggestions are actually looked at. With geysers having extensive dormant periods I agree that this should be added to the game. The size of these rooms that need to be built for nearly each geyser is ridiculous. 1 hour ago, Ju said: -More diseases: or some other real use for kindness, my dupes almost never get hurt or, when I'm carefull, sick, I would really like to get an outbreak mark 2, with some more diseases and/or ways for dupes to get hurt and possibly a new job, like nurse or doctor. Idk, kindness just feels underused. I think they should be made a bit more virulent. Germy items, buildings and tiles should constantly share some of their germs with environment similarly how heat is exchanged. Now they're only shared when there's one million. I think about 1% could be shared all the time instead. 1 hour ago, Ju said: -Aggressive critters: Kinda like the same reason above, would be a nice use for kindness and combat(which is just really used to get rid of excessive critters). I don't feel like this would help the game a lot. There can be only so many critters in the map (unless we get some kind of "monster geyser") and then dealing with them is just small part of exploring and colonizing the whole asteroid. I leave that up to the devs but I like the critters the way they are now. goboking
I agree with you on all counts. A space-efficient and aesthetically pleasing way to store gas would be great. And new diseases and aggressive creatures alongside a doctor job to treat the sicknesses and injuries and a guard job to help combat these new critters is at the very top of my wish list. I leave that up to the devs but I like the critters the way they are now. The volgus in the game's files has a den which could serve as a "monster geyser". And if the end game is building a rocket on the asteroid's surface to facilitate escape - I'll admit that's speculative at the moment - then there could be space pirates that invade. I believe Brotghar showed art assets for what looked to be space pirates in one of his videos, so that could be another source of respawning hostile creatures.
