DyingCrow Posted April 5, 2018 Share Posted April 5, 2018 I observed this situation where 3 of the natg generators were completely broken, and for several cycles no one went there to get them fixed. Im talking about some 10 cycles, and i even let the dudes do whatever they wanted for half that time, didnt give them any orders at all, they were just idling, putting on exosuits just to take them off immediately, all that idiot crap. As a result, the generators were not repaired, no one even delivered the materials for repairs. So i rebuilt them, and as a little test, i piped a small amount of some crap to 3 of them, so they would take a bit of wrong element damage. Lo and behold, the dupes were trampling each other to get the job done, it took no more then a few seconds for an army to appear and get them back in shape. Is this some known issue? I noticed the same with at least pipes that broke completely, they are completely ignored. Other thing i noticed was food rotting on the floor. While they were busy picking clay and other random useless crap to priority 5 storage, with no sweep orders assigned, their valuable barbecues were turning into piles of puft food, WITH priority 9 sweep orders and priority 9 fridges with lots of empty room just a couple steps away. I dont know if these are known issues, but i can assure this time it was not my stupidity. I dont mind fishy stuff, just need to know that im not imagining things. Luminite2 Posted April 5, 2018 Share Posted April 5, 2018 Assuming you didn't disable autorepair and had reserves of whatever material was used to construct the broken things, then I don't know what the problem was. For the food, I think I remember that picking up debris is Storage, while storing food is Life Support. I could be wrong, but if it's true then that would indicate that you have dupes who prioritize Storage over Life Support and explain what you were seeing. Also, if completely broken, you don't get the materials back from deconstructing it.
