A seed that can potentially support over 30 duplicants!

Recommended Posts

Seed: 2094867315

This is the seed of my current colony. It is a really nice seed which can potentially support over 30 duplicants!

Cool steam vent directly below spawning area. Note - Geyser output is fixed for each seed.

2 cool steam vents (the one directly below produces 1.73kg/s; the other one produces 2.25kg/s), 1 natural gas geyser, 1 chlorine vent plus...

3 oil reservoirs

2 yummy tasty delicious sugary sweet fizzy flavorful invigorating polluted water geysers (1.87, 1.75kg/s), 1 water geyser (0.831kg/s), 1 steam vent, 1 leaky oil fissure, 1 copper volcano and 1 extra natural gas geyser.

Approximate total water output of all water-producing geysers (excluding the hot steam vent): 8.43kg/s

This seed can potentionally support large colonies, as the water output is more or less similar to 2 pre-ranching upgrade steam geysers (0.167kg/s steam and 4.028kg/s water per geyser)

Other features: Large swamps and ice biomes. Small-ish sized caustic biomes. Starting area has lots of algae and metal at the cost of VERY LITTLE STARTING WATER.

The numbers posted in the OP is the amount produced per second, also factoring in the dormant and active periods. The formula is:

Amount produced x [(Active period / Activity cycle) x (Eruption period / Eruption cycle)]}

In the polluted water geyser screenshot below, it produces 1.75kg/s.

23.8kg/s x [(42.1 cycles / 64.2 cycles) x (110s / 979s)]

23.8kg/s x [(0.6557632398753894) x (0.1123595505617978)]

23.8kg/s x 0.0736812629073472 = 1.753614057194862kg/s

@chemie that statement is so false water is essentially power and a water or pw geysers have a significantly higher potential power associated with them compared to nat gas geysers because fertilizer synthesis.

By water, i meant water.  PW can be made into water or power but even when using fertizers, you won't get the same as 2 old NG geysers unless you build so many that you drain a lot of swap PW pools to feed....i still see this as a power issue and not a water issue

I was saying having a water geyser pw or not has more potential power because it can be made into nat gas an fert with a positive power relationship while a gas geyser will average less gas than a gen uses.
