Also, it would be nice to add some vicious creatures that can attack your base (waves ?) in order to the "combat trait" to be eventualy useful... Because it's useless right now unless you want some meat... 

Then again it's probably just me but I find the game boring when the base is set up... You just want to dig more to build new tech for fun... If only there were some goals or mission type (try to find item XXX or BUILD XXX to progress into the game....) It should not bother to have this because you can still build in the order you want anyway...

There are community made challenges out there.  A search of "challenges" on the forums will find you some difficult ones that are hard in to the late game, though many of them are out of date.  I am partial to "Accept Every Duplicant until one dies."  You will have to constantly expand and build more and more systems. 

I would like a random event or disaster mode, where things can randomly go wrong.  Ideally, it would be something you can decide on on the fly.

I agree with disaster, though it would be better if dupes could die from them... I want to see a dupe melting in lava -__-' YES i'm a sadist <3 

Maybe also thinking of a CO-OP build mode would be nice and funnier (like in DON'T STARVE...)
