Need little Help with Automation :(

Recommended Posts

Hellow Guys, the most time i'm a passive reader, the one or other have seen one of my two posts out there :wilson_ninja:

But now i have a little problem where i hope to find help from you :wilson_dorky:

I have there my 2 power-circuits that i want to be powered from the same source, the bottom battery-array goes to my main-base, the upper one to my iron-melting-point.

ONI-Stromkreis.png.e87fe230d63581efc5185f4aa86afa91.png

As you see, i tried this way: if one of both Int-Batteries are lower than 5%, they begin to load, works fine for the moment.

the left AND-Gate turns all powergeneration off if both Batteries are "full"; the right AND-Gate ensures that, if both circuits get loadet at the same time, that the main base gehts priorized.

I have two problems now: as you can see in the picture above, one both circuits go off cause all are full, they don't go on until both are empty (for the moment i deletet the left AND-Gate with the wire so the generators run fulltime) this is the more important problem; the second, less important is the iron-melting point, same problem, if both are are true and the upper is set to off, it wont turn on again, its less a problem because its low energy-use (my dupes can power it with one wheel).

Maybe you can help me, because i don't know myself anymore what to change :wilson_cry::wilson_confused:

thanks a lot for your help, wish you all a nice sunday afternoon, and goodbye

greetings, Chaos

I try ^^
I use no batterys then smart batterys. No need to store heat..

why dont you add a shuft-off switch (is that what its called?) on the wire from the 2nd battery arrey going to the base and another shut-off switch + not-gate going to the refineries, that way when the batts are full it will cut it connection going to the base and will maintain contact to your refineries

PS: im not really good at this yet

Hi chaos.

There was a similar post. couldn't find the post anymore but back then I saved the pics for personal use.

Hope the author(s) forgive(s) me :D

mea culpa

You can probably change the heavy watt for conductive wire. Hope it helps.

Here's one with conductive wire by someone else...I think this one was Saturnus idk... the usual suspect, eh ;D

Cheers!

wow, thanks a lot @all :wilson_laugh:

@Oozinator my battery-array is in an ice-biome, direktly under an AETN, so i hope thats cool it down :D

as far as i see on you picture, you simply put together 3 smartis on one generator, and when all three are full, they switch it off?

@Lutzkhie "shut off switch", do you mean the "signal switch"? i play the german-translation

@Yoma_Nosme thanks for the picture, i try to test it out, but i honestly get an headage of this picture :wilson_laugh:

back on my best days, i wrote formulas in excel with "if" and interleaved AND / OR, but ONI is the first game where i realy use this in an game and where i get behind what is behind this true/false things :D

i will give it a try and send a picture there when its done ;)

thanks again, see you

Edit:

ok... encountert some problems on the map that has to take care first.. can take a while, but i'll look over it again

really, thanks for the help guys :) have a nice evening (or morning, afternoon or whereever you are now :p )

The smart batterys feed "own circuits", if any of those is below setting, gen starts. @Ch4050v3rl0rd

Is your example not similar, but only with 2 circuits? Batterys loose power, over time. The more batterys you have..
Edit: I made an example, because i don't understand, why overcomplicating things?
Here you have an example based on your case. Emergency mousewheel included.
You can run many circuits in that way/add some. electropure.thumb.jpg.fffe1e64752fb737184ad802a150f87c.jpgelectro2off.thumb.jpg.ec9e05e1a1fa5135a2b28eaa3e10b198.jpgelectro3on.thumb.jpg.cabad5bd11ce8f0944893e47e55bf758.jpg
electro1.thumb.jpg.601d64a5ea1ec08285d0bf66eaa1c204.jpg

ok.. whow... that i have to test out later... i just thought that, baause of on every circuit are more than 1,5kw usage, if both are online on the same time, they burn my wires down if they are open alltogehter :wilson_worried:

thank you @Oozinator; i'll try it out this afternoon

@Lutzkhie, you mean this things there, i use three of this but it don't work in the way i was expectet... :(

thanks again, i'll write my experience when its done :wilson_goodjob:

greetings
