How can I admin other players?

Recommended Posts

My friend and I have been trying to figure out how to give each other admin in our worlds. We're both on a Mac (documents/klei/donotstarvetogether)

I have tried placing the adminlist.txt file (I've put the correct Klei ID in it) in client_save and DoNotStarveTogether and it did not load him as an admin in my world.

I found a more recent source saying admin list.txt needs to go into the Cluster folder for it to work right. I put it in the cluster folder (does it need to go into the master folder inside of the cluster? I've tried that to no success) for the respective world we're using and still nothing.

Can anyone please help us?

Well i've tried and i've never been able to get it t owork either, Though if you're trying some commands, I suggest trying a mod called. "Too many items" For DST, it allwos you to choose a target player and use commands such as map reveal, all recipies, god mode, etc.

Thanks for the fast reply!! We're going to use that solution for the time being

I think the adminlist.txt file needs to be in the world folder (So for world 1 it would be in Cluster_1) but I don't remember for sure. I just know that most of the guides for setting up dedicated servers (and making others admin) seem to be outdated.

There is also a way to set admins based on Steam groups (so steam group admins are automatically admins of your DST server) but I have never gotten that to work.

My experience has been for dedicated servers (using Steam CMD) so this might not be applicable to worlds hosted in game but its worth a try.
