Sensors attachable to pipes to check the content

Recommended Posts

So let's assume you want to check a temperature of water in pipes what you would need to do is to drop sample into an isolated room and check it with automation

But if the sensors were attachable to pipes we wouldn't need to build such rooms in first place

Sensor that specificly attach to pipes would be lovely, if only so that we could make hydro sensors that directly attach to a pipe and say "Don't pump unless at 0 g contents" to stop wasteful pumping that happens at times.

Maybe it should be a setting of a temperature sensor? By default it measures temperature of gas/liquid it is in, but the setting could be changed to, for example, gas pipe / gas pipe content / liquid pipe / liquid pipe content / backplate. These options would be only available if those structures actually exist beneath the sensor.

This is a great idea, could be versatile, thus putting both gas and liquid. And it could also be adjustable ex: pass if the gas / liquid is at 273K.

There could be one for each type. ex: quantity e temperature etc..
