There is a way that ends the challenge long before that time though. In the seed of the challenge a water geyser is somewhere above my base. Around cycle 70+ it has gotten so hot that the water dripping heats up to the point of melting the plastic tubes between the square. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Maybe it was another factor but on my second play through I didn't use debug and it did turn on. And it was a short while after I noticed water dripping down.
