Coolers cooling coolers

Recommended Posts

I've got a limited number of weeziers on this seed so I'm thinking of using one set of coolers with weezies to cool a box of coolers instead of my current method.  The idea is that if I know the dials to tune my machine to, I could set it, then close seal it in, fill it with hydrogen and start the outer cooler.  If I placed my cold coil across the top and build with airflow/mesh floors it should drop cold to the floor.  Wrap it all in abys and it should be solid.  Right?

It could work, though you could easily improve it. Hydrogen doesn't carry a lot of heat and is inferior to polluted water cooling at temperatures between -14C and 120C. If you don't need to supercool the coolers, you're better off with water cooling, as it is about 3 times more power-efficient and each packet carries 30 times more heat which makes large radiators work much better.

A big bonus of polluted water cooling is that you can use polluted water from cooled natgas and petroleum generators, then dump the now-hot water into fertilizer makers or sieves.

Both regulator and aquatuner generate heat which exactly equals to the heat removed from the gas/liquid. If the same kind of gas is input to regulators, a box of coolers are needed to cool another box of coolers.

It's just a waste of electricity.

I´m pretty sure a regulator on hydrogen can cool itself. I might be wrong... anyone?

Drip cooling or heat deletion, no matter how you call it. It is almost impossible to be prevented in gas and liquid. Therefore, regulator and aquatuner can cool themselves, but it does not mean that heat generation is less than the heat removed from the gas/liquid.
