Zarquan
Hello. I was running my base of 41 duplicants when I decided that I should keep my higher stress dupes in the base for a while. Unfortunately, both my highest and lowest stress duplicant were named Ashkan, which meant I could not tell which was which. While renaming one duplicant is easy, renaming all of the repeats was time consuming. Maybe when more than one duplicant of the same name exists, there should be a automated process that numbers them in some way. OfficialLolicon
By default, Names can be repeated... I know the pain... It might be nice to have more duplicants actually (maybe 45 dupes?) and when it repeats, an automated numbering for them.. I like this idea Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/85218-duplicants-of-the-same-name/#findComment-982355 Share on other sites
Neotix
Also community could help devs with increasing named database. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/85218-duplicants-of-the-same-name/#findComment-982434 Share on other sites

sadovsf
Or just rename them in they details tab Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/85218-duplicants-of-the-same-name/#findComment-983525 Share on other sites
Neotix
Renaming is bugged because using letters that have attached function cause enabling that function. If I want name dupe "Blob", when i hit "B" i open building menu and renaming is disturbed. sadovsf
Then report that bug instead of thinking about ways of how to hide it Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/85218-duplicants-of-the-same-name/#findComment-983572 Share on other sites
Neotix
Bug was already reported. Even when it will be patched, having dupes with the same name is confusing. You can't force players to rename them right after printing. Zarquan
What they could do is have a sub-name, like Cycle Accepted or Age in cycles. It can appear in grey under all duplicants and is unique for each dupe except the first 3, which you can always choose to have unique names very easily. It would also be helpful because usually older dupes have more levels and are faster and better at building, which makes them more desirable for most jobs Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/85218-duplicants-of-the-same-name/#findComment-988888 Share on other sites
