Possible discount and question about gift copies

I want to buy DST twice and gift it to my friends as a Christmas gift.
So there are two questions:
1. If I already have the game and buy DST, will I get two copies of the game? Will the friend I gift it to will get an extra copy? Or maybe nobody will get that extra copy?;
2. I'm gonna guess that there will be a discount on DST on Holiday sale. The question is, how much can I expect? My budget is thin and it would only be worse if it turns out that I can only get one copy per purchase.

You can gift the whole game to 1 friend he will receive DST + 1 copy that he could gift to another different friend

I think pretty much all games go on sale in the winter sale, which should be fairly soon(I'd check the schedule on previous winter sales), and I'd expect it to be the same discount it had the last time(40% I think?), so it should go for ~10$ then.
