Currently there is no reason to, but as its description states, it's supposed to be as slow as a manual airlock when it's not powered. They'll probably add this in a future update, but for the time being there is indeed no point in powering them (unless you're annoyed by symbol that states that it's not powered like I am). Sevio Posted August 27, 2017 Share Posted August 27, 2017 If at some point in the future they do need power to work quickly, I would still try to avoid them because of the complications in power networks that it causes. 120 W per door adds up to a circuit's limit pretty quickly.
