Suggestions for the game

I was thought of some cool idea that could be added to the game these are throw off the top of my head and can be messed around obviously

 

New biome- Underground forest which would have large monsters/creatures that you can hunt for meat/leather since meat very hard to come by and hatches are kinda a benefit for what they do rather than for food And would add new recipes to cook for your dupes. Wood for new decor such as wood floors that would give a massive decor buff over the regular tile flooring along with using leather for other things such as new beds(like a hammock) for example and biomes are kinda limited atm with just slime and cold with the sparely spread chlorine/hydrogen biome. This would also give a use for the combat in the game which really don't have much use at all right now

Combat gear/training: Along with my biome idea we could see new combat gear like guns and armor for when the dupes would go hunting in the area since they run the risk of dying to the said monsters they try to hunt, which could add a new combat building for making gear and also a training zone which the dupes can train at and get better at combat of course this area would have to have maintenance to repair the training area which the dupes shoot it up enough along with my combat idea monsters in the biome can breed over time so not killing them all off will allow to slowly spawn in over time that. Adding some monster like creatures to the current ice and slime biomes would be great like a worm like creature type that lives in that general area and your dupes might run into while digging around.

Husbandry- Too breed useful and passive/neutral creatures like light bugs, hatches etc as they have a good amount of use throughout your colony adventure and maybe a way to train them to move them place to place allowing dupes to pick them up and carry them with husbandry research and even grow them to be more effective of what they do ie lightbugs are brighter

Ice cubes- Hot water can often be a problem from the steam vents maybe allowing dupes to use ice to create a ice cube machine to drop into hot that would cool/add more water to that area where its being dropped into and give a use for snow and ice from the cold biomes

Common cold- New idea for the recent outbreak update would be the well common cold, not fatal but could put a damper on your dupes and has a higher contagion rate with a short duration cycle 

just a ideas to pitch out feel free to post your opinion on these

 I came up with a new biome idea

Crystal waters biome- Basically a biome that consist of  sedimentary rock, water pockets in the area and alot of crystals which can be used as a new type of mineral for crafting would be more on the pretty side of biomes and add some specialized crafting for your colony maybe late game upgraded building/tools like modding your dupes tools to dig faster, build faster, deconstruct faster etc.

2nd normal biome: Heres an idea how about another biome that spawns in that is like your starting area biome with dirt algae coal copper etc as i feel like its kinda dumb that coal copper and dirt only appear once on the map in your starting area, maybe having a 2nd one like extremely far away on the map so you would have to really dig to get to it would be a nice addition to the game

gas bottler/gas releaser machines- as it saids a way to bottle gases via gas pumps into a machine that then bottles them up for storage would help elimate pesky gas filled areas that are near the base if you want to expand then releaser would work like the water bottle emptyer like we have currently in game of course this seems pretty op so to compensate the bottler machine would require not only a good chunk of power but also metal to make bottles with and would need more as it runs out as most gas containers are made of out metal

I don't think this is a good idea the way disease currently works. When a dupe contracts a disease, they become immune to any further infections until the illness passes, and when they recover they get a large bonus to immune system recovery. A mild disease like common cold would nullify the effects of more serious diseases while it's going, so the disease system would need reworking so serious diseases can coexist with or overwrite mild diseases.

And if this is to be a common cold it would have to be practically unavoidable, which will annoy the player since they can't do anything about it. I'm sure they'll have a creative new disease to add at some point, though. :)

There's already two other diseases - trench stench and spores - that were in AU but not OU.  They should probably at least bring those in.

Is that really how it works?  Because I remember in closed testing that you could only have one set of germs on you, but once your immune system hit 0, you could catch both food poisoning and slime lung simultaneously.  All you had to have was 0 immune system and breathe in slimelung air, or eat food poisoned food.  I ask because I haven't played very  much of the OU or it's subsequent hotfixes yet.

I would love to see the apothecary come back and you would have to research cures and then a dupe with "medicine" trait would have to use the apothecary to make the cures from various plants and materials. You couldn't research the illness until you found the germs "in the wild" and you would have to make sure to keep the resources around to make it. It might be overly complex, but I think it would be fun.

They can easily make it so that dupes are immune to one illness after being cured of it for a certain amount of cycles and still able to catch other illnesses but anyway I'll be updating the page later tonight as I came up with suggestions :3

I have this in live version. 

If that's true then the immunity only covers the germs for the disease they just contracted, nevermind that argument against common cold then.

But still, I don't really like the idea of an unavoidable common disease that just exists to annoy players.

Found out I was wrong about this.  You can host multiple kinds of germs simultaneously, getting penalties for both colonies.

Yep but I never had my dupes get food poisoning since my base tends to stay either cold or pretty hot one side atleast majority of the time
