Falcore555
It would be really cool if there was an incubator added as well as creature eggs so that you can start an animal farm for materials. Along with this there could be an auto feeder for hatches as well as a litter box. This way someone can set up a hatch and puft farm while creating meat by killing extra hatches. brummbar7
Very good idea. I've wondered how they could implement animal herding as there doesn't seem like any great hook for it, but this would work really well. Just a matter of building a building that takes delivery of an egg, and the dupes collect the egg when dropped. And the animals might only lay eggs in the 'perfect' pressure/temperature/food situation, similar to plants and seeds. And you have to carefully consider where you set up your 'ranch', because it won't be easy to move the animals once hatched. Love it.

But in case of the eggs, they'll only hatch with all 4 in "ideal". As for the place, I don't think moving the eggs around should be an issue. The animals is another matter. anosu
Killing extra hatches could temporarily change how other hatches react to dupes. It could make them flee a little more often to mimic fear/anxiety or lead to more unprovoked attacks like how they do now when uncovered.
LeadfootSlim
If we have eggs, they should be like planter boxes; unpowered, but responsive to ambient temperature/pressure.
