[Suggestion] Increase priority with repeated press of a key.

Recommended Posts

In the past I have seen a couple posts about allowing people to change the priority without having to click the tiny number, in the smallest part of the UI.
Someone suggested by pressing the Numberpad keys.

Thing is, not everyone has a number pad.  I have a different suggestion on ways for allowing people to select priority.

For hotkeys pressing K, P, M, ETC once, should select the command and set the priority to 5.  Pressing the SAME hotkey again, should increment the priority by 1.  So pressing M(default), once would give you the mop with a priority of 5, 3 times would give a you priority of 7 and 5 times a priority of 9.

If you hold the key for, two or 3 seconds, it should automatically set it to 9.

Also if you wanted, allow people to set the default priority of hotkeys.  Currently it's 5.  Maybe they want it to be 3 or 9.  Do that in a simple UI, not the actual options menu if possible.

You could even have two settings for repeated presses, increment or decrement.  Maybe someone has the default priority of M for mop set to 9, and repeated presses decrements the priority.  While they have a separate hotkey of K for sweet with a default to 1, and repeated presses increments the priority.

I think when you have priority tool selected pressing 123456789 would make corresponding priority settings instead of opening building menu instead.

Modify this to 'when you have a non-default cursor, pressing...' and it would work for all types of operations that have priorities (including building).
