So we have beefalo taming, what if we had an easy version of that with catcoon taming. I'm thinking of a fun little thing that will give players who don't have time for beefalo the pain experience of domesticating. The process should take 4-6 days (because they are fragile).

 

Collar

1 papyrus, 4 grass prototyped at alchemy engine

starts the taming process of a catcoon (meaning gifts and food will now count towards taming)

right clicking on a catcoon you put a collar on will change its name

Cat climber

4 logs, 5 beefalo fur, 1 board prototyped at alchemy engine 

when you right click on it with a catcoon following you the catcoon will treat it like a hollow stump and wander around going to it at night. The catcoon will attack small animals and pick up items like normal with the addition of picking grass saplings and reeds. When a domestic catcoon returns to the cat climber all items will be put in it. You could then right click to collect the items and right click on a empty one to have the catcoon follow you.

Cat toy

1 beefalo fur, rabbit/bird/moleworm

when left on the ground they will get destroyed by the catcoon over time

catcoon equivalent of a salt lick

Notes

-recipes might be unbalanced

-catcoons may need regen when tamed

-the hollow stump will be abandoned and another catcoon will spawn once it is tamed

-tamed catcoons have a good sanity aura

-I didn't think of tendencies yet
