Sonatta Posted March 17, 2017 Share Posted March 17, 2017 How rare are the geysers? I've restarted 4 times and not one nearby after digging 50 blocks left/right/up/down. Although there were always 3-8 ice biomes nearby, I guess melting those would flood a base. MerlinofManitou Posted March 17, 2017 Share Posted March 17, 2017 I've cycled through a couple of maps, so far around 40% of the maps I loaded the geyser was somewhat close by, always in the green swamp biome. The other 60% I didn't really see a geyser around the base. Ecu Posted March 17, 2017 Share Posted March 17, 2017 Actually using the steam itself may not be the only reason you would want to be able to create it. For instance, by evaporating contaminated water, you create dirt as a byproduct. I seems like the liquid tepidizer may not be able to actually heat water to its boiling point. However, that seems a bit silly as it's purpose in the game was to heat water. I haven't unlocked this device yet in my current playthrough but if any of you have, it would be good to know it it can or cannot generate steam.
