A Way To Solve Disease And The Main Problem

Ok the Disease mechanic was good at first with the idea to make the experience more Challenging, but its taking away resources. You've implemented other ways to obtain Grass, Twigs, Rocks (Etc) to keep their existence there, but its not helping Long term servers. You see, many players at the begining like making separate bases in groups or just go solo in servers and when that happens we have a problem. Lots of players like to dig and replant plants close to their base for easy access but don't take care of it. And because of this problem, the Disease mechanic has ruined long-term servers, because now players are depleting major resources that will never come back.

Example, berry bushes, we have a lot of it on the world that we start in and everything is fine for all who enter the server. Players are collecting resources. Its almost winter, time to setup base. Its winter and bases are everywhere now. A few base owners died and left the server and those who remain continue playing. Its now spring. The remaining players are having a hard time finding berry bushes. They search and finally find 40 bushes at a deserted base, Sadly, The bushes all caught disease.

And this example really happens in a lot of long term public servers, Heck, I've seen it happen with grass, which is much worse. This does not only affect the remaning players, but also players just entering. No grass equals no torch, no torch means death for first day players.

I suggest we make some type of magic spray that will work like the turf placement, which means it'll only affect the square that you've selected to be sprayed on. The magic spray will make planets act like it was never dug up and disease will not spread on that selected square. With this, we don't have to worry about resources depleting in long-term worlds.

Dealing with Disease involves digging up and replanting when your character comments on it starting, but it would be nice to have better indicators/abilities to undo. When playing with others it often ends up being too much of a nuisance that you either disable it, mass harvest and hoard with Wickerbottom, or don't transplant.

It would be nice to have more common renewable sources for Cut Grass, but in the meantime I suppose it's acceptable to rejoin the server at night if you really tried.

And on the topic of renewability, it looks like something changed?
