sp33dlink
If you make a tight room with wires and pipes behind machines like generators or pumps and then trying to rewire them it isn't really possible atm without decunstruting everything and building it up. Maybe a new button to deconstruct -similar to the view which shows the pipes and wires when you place them- to only remove wires/pipes.
bph192
if you press the deconstuct button in the bottom right it has extra options opoup above it
Cyberboy2000
You can do that, when the deconstruction tool is selected there is a menu next to it that lets you filter by type.
sp33dlink
Oops. I completely overlooked that. Will look into when i'm at home
TheDeadSkin
What I think should be implemented is to make deconstruction tool deconstruct only elements relevant to current overlay. Like, power overlay deconstructs only wires and electronics, gas overlay only gas pipes + relevant stuff, same for liquids. Currently since you mostly want build everything behind the tiles it becomes a major pain to change the wiring/piping.

That could become a bit problematic since many things are relevant to more than one of the overlays
TheDeadSkin
Yes, they can for example be deconstructed in any of those. I mean, any solution is better than the current.
johnperkins21
You could also select the overlay for the type of item you want to deconstruct, then select that individual tile which will bring up its details menu. At the bottom of the details menu you can select Deconstruct. Tough to do a large swath of things at once that way, but it works for detailed deconstructions. Ventus976
Took me a while to find out this was an option as well. Haven't been watching most of the streams, so most of this is new to me.
