Can you bundle live creatures?

According to Wilson's latest experiments, yes.

I just tried it and made a fast experiment cause I was also curious :)

Not sure though if they'll never get hungry or just slower, it looks like the one in the bundling wrap had also perished a little.

So the birds do that flopping around thing for a bit when you open it? Do they just fly up and disappear if you don't catch them fast enough? I've never really seen anyone bring butterflies or bees into the caves, either, so curious how they behave there. If you plant flowers below a light shaft, will they still spawn butterflies?

I made a base with bee boxes in the caves once, they act exactly the same way as on the surface. They just need natural light I heard, otherways the flowers wither. Not sure if bees get active in the darkness, or if lightbulbs are enough.

Abaut birds, rabbits and moles: they flop/lay a bit just as if you had put them down on the floor, so you can pick them up (for a little time).

Such as birds, bees and rabbits? The wiki isn't quite clear on this. If they can be bundled, is their live state preserved the way perishable items are?

Yes.

And... they will never starve. I have 2 bundles of birds in my base. Birds will not fly away instantly, they will just drop on the ground and wait a few seconds. It is enough to pick 4 of them up
