ottermeal
This theory has been sitting in my head for quite a while now and I decided to share it with you all! Okay, so I've been thinking that like, Webber and his "family" (mom, dad, other relatives) lived in the DST world way before everyone else came into it?? Before even Maxwell or the shadow monsters. Maybe there were even some of the ancients left but their kind was dwindling. I guess this theory can make sense because you find Webber's skull already existing in the world, and perhaps the boy that was eaten by the spider eventually died, along with the spider (i dont know how a boy and spider could even survive such a thing, with the spider getting stretched and the boy, well...), but when Wilson or another character comes across his skull, he's sort of revived and can exist in the world with the others due to some weird magic and whatnot. Sinister_Fang
MAXWELL = "That jerk tricked us." I think this is for examining Maxwell while still on the throne. It sounds to me like Webber was tricked into the DS world just like Wilson was. But Webber doesn't really have much of a back story other then a few mentions about his family. So this could literally mean anything. I could say something as outlandish as Webber and his family lived on the moon before Maxwell tricked him into coming to the DS world. As long as you mention his family, you can make really wild theories that can't be disproved due to a huge lack of personal info about Webber and where he came from. Ahh yeah I forgot about that statement! Huh... Well maybe they could have lived elsewhere, but still sooner than a lot of other characters came in. Maybe as a normal boy Maxwell tricked him into entering the world, and the spider ate him and they both died in the DST world. Eventually Wilson or someone else found his skull and he was able to live again?? Or maybe Maxwell tricked him about something completely different. Trying to adjust the theory since I definitely forgot about that line Webber says about Maxwell. As you said, literally anything could be possible... All I'm fairly certain about is that Webber may have been in the world longer than anybody. This game's lore is so confusing yet fascinating to search through! Lots of people just play the game and enjoy the thrill, but as I do that I also search for any hints towards what/how/when/why our beloved characters got into this world. Electroely
My theory is that Maxwell promised Webber something (I can't say exactly what since, as a kid, Webber could have wanted anything) and in turn telling him build a machine just like Wilson did. Although, this time a DS spider came out of it and ate Webber then went back to the DS world with an indigestible child in his stomach, later dying and leaving his legs on Webber's skull. After getting buried, he grew back his body insider the spider that are him, causing them to seem 1 creature. (I'll edit this post to add the rest of my theory since my phone is at 1 percent.)
