Pretty much all you need to know to solo it can be found in the videos shown in this thread. I actually ended up using around 10 jerky and 30 salve in my first solo attempt so I'd bring a lot of healing and armor if you're inexperienced with the fight. That 2nd phase of the fight really kicked my butt. Nearly died on a couple of occasions. But I was using Maxwell and mostly used log suits so that's to be expected. But anyway, if you want to find the sack then try looking in the same areas that the deer spawn (deciduous forests and mosaic biomes).

Also, you know you can just make gift wrap and toss a few twigs in there to make decorative gifts right? I'd recommend actually opening the gifts from Klaus. Lots of good stuff in there.

Yeah, i posted it before seeing the videos.

And, i want gifts that are actually a surprise. Not some twigs.

Do you recommend tanking in the second phase with marble armour. I suck at kiting spider warrior mechanics.

Thankfully Klaus doesn't jump quite as far or fast as warrior spiders do. It's still kinda tricky though. But personally I wouldn't recommend marble armor unless you have a crazy amount of healing to burn through. You might go through even more healing trying to tank it with marble suits then you would attempting to kite it with log suits. Just make sure to keep running away if you get hit by a lunge. I know the swiping he follows up with can usually be avoided if you have a cane equipped.

What character are you using anyway? I might be able to give more specific tips depending on your character. Or if you'd maybe like some assistance fighting him then shoot me a PM. I might be able to help depending on how good our connection to each other is.

I am using a semi-maxed WX-78.

I would like that. Just want to know, which country are you in? Is it far from india? 2 people would really help.

Then yeah, I can see tanking with WX being possible as long as you bring along a lot of healing. A bat bat could be useful too as you'll have plenty of sanity. Or instead of tanking with a marble suit you could go with night armor and a tam to get some good protection. But with the huge amount of health WX can get just using log suits and lots of healing could work too if you at least try kiting. There's a lot of options actually.

And if you live in India then I could see our connection not being all that great. I live in the US. I was kinda looking forward to helping ya with Klaus too...

Yeah, I'll just use some log armors.

Hey, maybe we still can even with all the lag. It's not unplayable, just an inconvenience.

Also, the sack spawns in mosaic, forest or deciduous biomes. After the first few days of the first winter.

His pattern in the second phase is lunge, lunge, cast. So just avoid the two lunges and hit him a few times while he's casting. No need to tank him.

They spawn in the deciduous forest and mosaic biomes during autumn. If you found the loot stash then you've discovered one of their spawn locations.

They should exist by the first day of winter in the biomes Sinister_Fang said, in addition to forest biomes. They despawn in spring though, so you've got Autumn and Winter to find them.
