...or just throw-able snowballs. Especially since the game is multiplayer now. Throw snowballs at other players, no damage, only 2 wetness since they're still solid...maybe make it a ranged alternative to Ice, to put out fires, like water balloons? Costs 5 ice to craft, or something like that...a cost that doesn't completely invalidate Water Balloons.

Perhaps they changed their mind?  This happens quite often and even more so on small development teams.  You spitball an idea, create some assets for it, and then decide you want to go another direction instead.  Many times the assets remain in the game files as they may be useful further down the line.

I am not really opposed to a snowman creature, but we've already got various winter threats...not really sure what the purpose would be of such.  Perhaps that's why they didn't follow through with it?
