Charity DLC themed skinpacks or team skinpacks.

Recommended Posts

Proceeds would go to Charity.

Skinpacks would be things like:

Pirates

Aliens

or Team Skinpacks that are colour themed like:

Green - Wilson has a Green streak in his hair, Willow wears a green headband, etc.

Blue

Yellow

Red

This would donate a lot to charity, and open up the ability to have team gameplay.

They could be like £1 or so... and if a team member can't afford it, they can just wear a coloured shirt. You'd look great and play better.

Wait, how does having skins translate into playing better?

Yeah, really dumb way of saying it. It's designed for competitive/PVP play, where you could cooperate better via team skins. No more "hey is that... *pan flute*"

So recognising each other? That could work. Though most armours and clothes obstruct the view of skins anyway...

That's why they are head skins mostly, perhaps face paint would do the trick.

I wouldn't say no to Wes warpaint, to think of it. Though camouflage is part of the challenge. You know, how to examine the player without attracting attention.

Honestly, I don't really see the merit in this.  This would require a large amount of art assets to maintain and art assets are one of the more time consuming elements in game development.  As such, by having the proceeds go to charity, you'd be spending money to make art assets without actually profiting on them at all.  I could see this as maybe a one-off, where they make a single set of charity skins for humble bundle or something, but not as a regular thing.
